A Tale of Two Museums with Alan Kellogg

Alan Kellogg, CAA Member, will present a brief look at these museums and some of their more interesting aircraft and their contributions to the advancement of aviation.
Alan’s aviation career began in the U.S. Navy’s Aviation Reserve Officer program. His initial flight training was in the T-34 and T-28 Trojan before transitioning to rotary wing training, where he flew the Bell TH-57 Jet Ranger and the TH-1L Huey. His fleet assignments included flying the Sikorsky SH-3D Sea King and Kaman SH-2F Seasprite. He later transferred to the Navy’s logistics community, flying worldwide transport missions in the C-9B.
After retiring from the Navy, Alan joined Northwest Airlines, flying the DC-10, A-330, and the Boeing 747-200 and 400. He retired from Delta Airlines in September 2011.
Currently, Alan is a volunteer docent at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, where he conducts tours of the museum and the Spruce Goose. He attempts to maintain his flying skills as a partner in a Van’s RV-12 based at Twin Oaks Airpark.
